Dealing With Addiction in Native American Communities

Native American communities suffer disproportionately from drug and alcohol abuse, violence and suicide. Norton School and UA College of Medicine researcher Tommy K. Begay and Patrisia Gonzales, UA assistant professor of Mexican American studies, join a panel of experts in discussing how trauma, history and poverty affect health, and the role culture can play in addressing poor health.
