REC's Spring Activities - Designed to Inspire
The Retail Entrepreneurship Club (REC) is welcoming new members this semester and has a full agenda of activities through which to share their passion for entrepreneurship.  Each of the activities is designed to inspire students to consider entrepreneurship as a viable path for pursuing their passion for retailing

The two big opportunities are the second annual ThinkBIG Conference and Retail Jumpstart programs (details and registration links below).  These are great opportunities to learn about and practice the basics of retail entrepreneurship.

Retail Upstarts Program - Recruiting Students!:  This semester, REC members will be working with two local retail startups in a new program designed to help new ventures get off on the right path.  Students will help these companies in understanding their target market, designing initial promotional and social media efforts, and other exciting strategies.  The two companies are:

  • A local craft brewery opening this spring - the founder is looking for students to help him better understand his principal target markets that include college students and young professionals.
  • A company bringing together various technologies to produce and market to consumers a new line of custom earbuds - the founder is looking for a wide range of support on developing his entire retail strategy in Tucson and beyond.

Would you enjoy this great opportunity?  If you are interested in participating in either of these project teams, please contact Scott Hessell - click for email.
