Anita D. Bhappu is Associate Professor, Division Chair, and Graduate Program Coordinator in Retailing and Consumer Sciences as well as Research Fellow at the Terry J. Lundgren Center for Retailing. Her research is published in the Academy of Management Review, International Journal of E-Collaboration, Journal of Applied Psychology, Journal of Service Research, Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes, and Work and Occupations. She serves as an ad-hoc reviewer for the Academy of Management Journal, Academy of Management Review, Human Relations, Information Systems Review, Journal of Management, Journal of Management Studies, Management Information Systems Quarterly, Organization Science, and Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes.

Melinda Burke Melinda Burke
Director, Terry J. Lundgren Center for Retailing
M.S., University of Arizona

Ms. Burke teaching focus has been retail strategy, leadership and career development connected to experiential learning and consumer rights and responsibilities. As Director, she oversees all operations and maintains and develops industry partnerships with the goal of providing additional resources to enhance our mission of teaching, outreach and research. She serves as the Sam Walton Fellow for the Students In Free Enterprise Team.

Mary Ann Eastlick Mary Ann Eastlick
Associate Professor
Ph.D., Purdue University

Professor Eastlick teaches undergraduate courses in nonstore retailing and merchandising control and graduate courses focusing on research theories and retail management. Her research focuses on consumer shopping behaviors and attitudes toward store-based retail firms, shopping malls, and direct marketing firms (i.e., catalogs, Internet, etc.). Dr. Eastlick also serves as the Chair of the Division of Retailing and Consumer Sciences and is the IBM Research Fellow with the Center for Retailing and Consumer Sciences, Education and Research.

Felicia Frontain Felicia Frontain
Undergraduate Coordinator
Masters of Arts in Management, University of Phoenix

Ms. Frontain teaches undergraduate courses in Merchandise Planning and Control, and Leadership and Ethics. Her focus is on applicability of the retail educational experiences to internship or career placement with local, national and global retailers. Ms. Frontain also serves as the undergraduate advisor and the internship coordinator. She brings 25 years of retailing management experience to this program.

Sabrina Helm Sabrina Helm
Associate Professor
Ph.D., University of Duesseldorf, Germany

In her research, Dr. Helm focuses customer bonding strategies and, specifically, the value of customer relationships from the supplier’s perspective. She also conducts research studies on customers’ referral behavior and referral campaigns. She is interested in corporate reputation, its measurement, management, and its impact on diverse stakeholder groups.

Professor Huang teaches undergraduate courses in Retail Strategy and Supply Chain Management and graduate courses in Inter-organizational Issues. Her research interests focus on three areas: 1) retail channel relationships, 2) international retailing, and 3) retail branding and new product development.

Roger M. Kramer Roger Kramer
Associate Professor
M.S., University of Wisconsin-Madison

Professor Kramer teaches undergraduate courses dealing with visual merchandising, store design, product development and brand strategies. His research interest focuses on retail design with emphasis on human sensory response and accessibility.

Sherry Lotz Sherry Lotz
Associate Professor
Ph.D., Kent State University

Professor Lotz teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in global retailing and consumption behavior and services retailing. Her research focuses on attitudinal models in the context of cross-cultural consumers and multi-channel (e.g., Internet, traditional store format) shopping formats. Dr. Lotz also serves as the Coordinator of the Retailing and Consumer Sciences graduate program.

Soyeon Shim Soyeon Shim
Professor and Director, School of Family and Consumer Sciences
Ph.D. The University of Tennessee, Knoxville

Professor Shim currently teaches a doctoral professional development course (RCSC 696), consisting of modules on facets of an academic career (e.g., research and scholarship, leadership and career development, and teaching and teaching scholarship). Her research focuses on consumer attitudes and purchasing behaviors in the context of a variety of settings (e.g., ecommerce, traditional shopping malls, agricultural sector). As School Director, Dr. Shim devotes most of her time to school administration; nevertheless, she tries to find the time to work with graduate students and maintain her research program.

Mike StatenMike Staten
Professor and Director, Take Charge America Institute for Financial Education and Research
Ph.D. Pudue University

Over the past 20 years Dr. Staten has designed and conducted research projects on a wide range of policy-oriented issues involving consumer and mortgage credit markets, initially as director of the Credit Research Center at Purdue University (1988 – 1997), and later as Distinguished Professor and Executive Director of the re-located Credit Research Center at Georgetown University (1997 - 2006), and the George Washington University School of Business (2006-2007).  He has published numerous articles on retail financial services in academic journals and edited volumes.  He has made invited presentations at workshops and events sponsored by the Federal Trade Commission, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, the Federal Reserve Board, and Washington, DC think-tanks including the American Enterprise Institute and the Brookings Institution.
