| This
conference, to be held every four years, is a program of the Soil Science
Society of America devoted to advances in soil physics, in honor of Don
Kirkham. The current conference is sponsored by the Soil
Science Society of America and the UCD Department of Land, Air and Water Resources.
The Kirkham
Conference is supported by contributions to two funds through the Agronomic
Science Foundation: the Don and Betty Kirkham fund, and the Maria
and Lena van der Ploeg fund. These funds also support the Don and Betty
Kirkham Soil Physics Award of the Soil Science Society of America, which
is designed to recognize midcareer soil scientists who have made outstanding
contributions in the areas of soil physics. Gifts to support the conference
and the award can be made to the Agronomic Science Foundation, established
within the Soil Science Society of America. |
