is "Walk Across Arizona"
- Fun way to get motivated to get fit
- It is NOT a walk-a-thon or fund-raiser, but a way to get
motivated to start moving and keep moving
- Start a healthy habit of walking everyday
- 16 week, statewide walking challenge
- Part of statewide Healthy Lifestyle Education through the
University of Arizona Cooperative Extension
- Each walker gets a "Walk Across Arizona" t-shirt
and eligible for prize drawing

- 130 teams from worksites, churches, schools and neighborhoods
completed
- 200 people walked more than 180,000
- Top team of 10 walked 3840 miles
- Top individuals walked 1200-1500 miles during the 16 weeks
