The Arizona Master Gardener Manual is now On Line!!
The Water Resources Research Center, and the Arizona Cooperative Extension announce the availability of a major new Web resource for gardeners, home owners, and plant enthusiasts. The "Arizona Master Gardener Manual" Web site http://ag.arizona.edu/pubs/garden/mg/ makes available the contents of the publication of the same name. The Web site provides easy access to extensive information on topics such as vegetable gardening, basic botany, diagnosing plant damage and fruit trees.

The Web site was developed by Kenneth Seasholes and Robert DeVoil of the University of Arizona's Water Resources Research Center. Funding for the online project came from the Cooperative Extension's "Moving to Higher Ground" initiative. The printed version of the Manual is used in the curriculum for the successful and highly regarded Master Gardener volunteer program. The Manual was developed as a collaborative project by county Extension Agents and Specialists, with assistance from University faculty and staff, along with Master Gardeners themselves.

The site currently consists of 150 web pages, along with more than 350 illustrations. Additional chapters are scheduled to be posted over the next few months. Due to the size and complexity of the site, special attention has been paid to structure and navigation. Moving between and among sections is simplified by the use of navigation links and images, while indexes, a help screen, and a search utility also aid users in quickly finding information.
