- 11. Arizona Water Sustainability Program Accepting Grant Proposals

The University of Arizona Water Sustainability Program is accepting proposals for the second year of competitive grants under Proposition 301.
The Arizona Board of Regents administers the Technology and Research Initiative Fund (TRIF), also known as Prop 301 funds.
TRIF funding to the Water Sustainability Program is to support UA research, outreach and education in water-related areas of importance to the state. These funds are expected to attract additional matching support from the private and public sectors.
About $550,000 in new funds is anticipated to be available for this grant program in the next fiscal year. The deadline for proposal submission is Friday, Jan. 30, 2004.
The grants program is open only to faculty and staff at the University of Arizona. The request for proposals can be obtained from the, Water Resources Research Center (WRRC) Web site/.
The WRRC is collaborating with the Water Quality Center (WQC), the Center for Sustainability of Semi-Arid Hydrology (SAHRA) and the Engineering Research Center for Environmentally Benign Semiconductor Manufacturing (ERC) to deliver this program.
