IALC Long-Range Goals

The primary goals of the International Arid Lands Consortium for the next 5 years include the following:

1. Continue to seek funding opportunities at the federal and international levels through public, private, nonprofit sources.

2. Continue to expand the IALC's efforts in development with new projects that include educational programs, arid lands agriculture, and other new directions.

3. Continue to partner with other institutions in order to strengthen everyone's capabilities for future projects.

4. Continue IALC's current activities in research, demonstration, and technology transfer by offering formal requests for proposals through the support of the IALC Research and Demonstration Advisory Committee.

5. Continue to identify the various impacts of IALC's activities making a difference.

6. Consider adding new Member Institutions to the IALC based on the success of the previous goals.
