Students will complete two required core courses (six units) in their selected option and six additional graduate units from the courses listed below in a program of study with prior approval of minor degree representatives on the students committee. Any one of the core courses, in either option, may also be used towards the six elective units, in either option. Prior approval of a proposed study plan for the minor will be made by representatives drawn from the Committee on Remote Sensing and Spatial Analysis, consisting of more than 20 University faculty (see below).
|OPTI 550||Fundamentals of Remote Sensing*|
|ECE/OPTI 531||Image Processing Laboratory for Remote Sensing*|
|REM 590**||Remote Sensing for the Study of Planet Earth|
* Courses are currently unavailable.
** crosslisted with several other Departments
Guideline: Two remote sensing courses
Plus six additional graduate units from the general curriculum (see pages 5-7), or from the Spatial Analysis core (one course maximum).
|REM 590||Remote Sensing for the Study of Planet Earth, and|
|GRD 516||Geographic Information Systems for Geography and Regional Development, or|
|RNR 517||Geographic Information Systems for Natural Resources|
Plus six additional graduate units from the general curriculum (see pages 5-7), or from the Remote Sensing Sciences core (one course maximum).
