Range/Origin: southern Arizona, Baja California, Sonora Mexico; naturalized in western Tucson and vicinity

Ambrosia detoidea CULTURAL REQUIREMENTS:
- xeriscape plant
- revegitation
- Exposure: full sun, takes heat
- Water: none once established, infrequent irrigation will increase ornamental quality
- Soil: desert soil, rock, good in loose soil on slopes
- Propagation: seed and cuttings
- Maintenance: minimal; can be pruned to improve shape
NOTES:sometimes listed as a perennial shrub with a medium to short life span
