I have a bug in my veggie garden that I first noticed in the zucchini plants. It's brown and what's most distinguishable is its babies which look like tiny spiders with black legs and white bodies. I sprayed white oil on them (1Tbl canola oil in 1 L water, with a little dish soap). I also squished as many as I could with my fingers. A lot of the adult bugs walked around looking like they were joined together (mating?). Anyway my methods didn't do the job and I eventually got rid of the zucchinis after the plants went yellow and started dying.
The bugs have now moved over to the butternut squash and though I have killed any I could by hand I notice the leaves are also going yellow. Do you know what this bug is and any methods I can use to get rid of it (organic and less-than-organic)?
Thanks so much!
