I have a 38 year old silk oak tree that lost more than half of the leaves ten days ago.  The excessive drop has appeared to have slowed.  What would cause this?  The leaf drop was within two days of a major electrical storm in the area and I did experience what I felt may have been a lightening strike.  There are no apparent signs of a lightening strike.
