Kelly,
You may want to consider just having a smaller tree in a large decortive pot 
so that you can eventually move it and replant elsewhere when it grows too 
large for the pot and then replace it with another one or different kind. 
There are numerous trees you could do this with depending on the sun/shade 
exposure in that particular spot. You don't mention whether you want the 
tree for shade, a sightbreak for just ornamental purposes.
