[Arid_gardener] 1/4 inch soaker hose

I found 1/4" soaker hose for drip systems at HD--not laser drilled, not with
periodic emitters, but the porous recycled rubber type that's been around for
years in larger diameters.  This looks like an ideal way to get more GPH on our
plants and trees whose crowns and rootballs have grown a lot since they were
planted last spring.  At that time they had a small basin and single emitter. 
I plan to enlarge the irrigation trench and put in a loop or two of the soaker
hose.

Has anyone had any experience with this product, good or bad?  FYI, it delivers
1.8 GPH per foot at 20 psi.
