[Arid_gardener] Purple Leaf Plum

Hi
  i have two purple plum trees, which were planted in may of this year (2006) im my backyard,  they looked just fine until two weeks ago, the leaves are falling off and it looks like the trees are dieing but they feel soft and not dried up. I cant figure them out, i water them every day, can you please give me some info. Thx.
