I am writing to ask about good alternate groundcovers (alternative to our lawn).  I would like to find something that is friendly to our environment, requires as little water (and other maintenance) as possible, and that my child can play on.  I have recently read about chamomile lawns and am intrigued.  The article I read stated they are good for sandy soil, which I don't think we really have.  Could you suggest ground covers that might suit my criteria listed above?  Many thanks!
