Janet, I am no expert, but I planted a Chinese wisteria in late
winter. It grew beautifully, especially once I encouraged it to twine
around its support. But as the temperatures got hotter, I saw the
same issue with the leaves that you do, although I don't think the
plant in general was suffering too badly. I gave it some shade and a
bit more water, and it immediately came out with new growth, most of
which is staying green. A few of the edges and tips are drying, but
for the most part the shade seems to be doing the trick.
