[Arid_gardener] Olive fruit problems

I have a single olive tree that is loaded with fruit.  Currently the olives are green and are on the order of 1/2 inch diameter by 11/16 inch long.  There are small brown spots on the olives that causes depressions on the surface.  The brown spots penetrate into the olive.  I had the same problem last year and I thought is was due to ants.  However, I have eliminated the ants.  What is causing this and is there any thing I can do about it.
