[Arid_gardener] cochineal scale on prickly pear

Hi to all,

I read this with interest as I know people that
actually go out and harvest the cochineal off the
prickly pear and use it to dye fiber and yarn. If you
know of any spinners or weavers in your area, you
might contact them to see if they can use it. Also,
they do use cochineal extract in certain foods as a
dye.
