I have a Ficus Nitida tree planted on the west side of my yard. It is very large, planted over 5 years ago and looks healthy. Although I was told by the nursery where I bought it that it was a very clean tree, some months it drops huge amounts of berries and it sheds green leaves continually every day. I fertilize it four times a year per the nursery's instructions, and I deep water. The mess caused by this tree is getting to be a real nuisance. Any advice on the care of this tree would be appreciated. Also, should this tree be trimmed and if so, in what manner? Thank you!
