Cacti like the chain fruit cholla also grow very well in the low desert. 
There is a veritable, natural forest of them at the Peralta entrance to 
the Superstitions off Highway 60.  So I would suggest trying the Central 
Phoenix yellow pages under "Cacti" which list about 20 cactus nurseries, 
movers, planters, etc.  The "Jumping Cholla" is not very popular for 
residential landscapes so you may have to call several of the listings 
to find one.

Can anyone tell me where I can acquire medium - large cacti i.e. 
Chainfruit Cholla or other.  I live in Verde Valley.
