[Arid_gardener] Orange sap from Mesquite Tree

Hello,
 
I have two large Mesquite Trees that were just recently heavily pruned and  
they are now weeping an orange sap from the site of eat pruned branch.  Is  
this a problem for the tree?  What do you recommend?
