[Arid_gardener] Mequite question

Does this apply to mesquite, I have several that need trimming, but want to
avoid the continual sap leakage that seems to happen if they are pruned
incorrectly.

The recommended time to prune desert adapted trees is during summer. In your
case having just planted your mesquite, it is recommended that you do not
prune for at least one year and preferribly two years except for dead or
damaged branches and branches that will cause problems in the future.
