My palo verde tree has seemed healthy until just recently. It had some flowers this spring (although not a great number). A wind storm blew the flowers off of all of the palo verde trees in our area. Since that time the bark of the tree has turned a copper color, starting at the base and now moving up the tree. No leaves are present. The branches have taken on a yellow appearance. The tree is a tall mature tree (20' tall). It was transplanted from one spot in our yard to another one year ago. It was moved by a tree spade with plenty of soil and surrounding roots. Our house is new and the tree was native. It had mistletoe which we cut out and it was trimmed quite a bit. For the first several months I deep watered it quite a bit. Since then it has been watered once a week for two hours.

Any suggestions?
