Actually, Dick, I've been wondering when we're going to have our very own
"Martha Stewart of the Low Desert". Wanna take it on? Some beautiful 4-color
production, with by-the-month commentary on what's going on in the garden, and
what can \ should be done, plus seasonal recipes. Maybe it's out there & I
just don't know about it? I literally am still trying to figure out when my
produce is ready for harvest - I put it in the ground, then am not sure when to
keep an eye out for picking it.
Carolyn, thank you so very much for that insightful e-mail about tomatoes.
I was taken aback (and then shocked at myself) when a friend from
Philadelphia said she wakes up in the summer & decides what she's going to serve for
dinner from what's ready in the garden. It's becoming clear that one of the
reasons I was shocked was that she'd even want to spend any time out of doors in
June \ July \ August, much less that things are growing out there.
Happy gardening!
Karen
