[Arid_gardener] Scorpions

Hello ~ I just came from your website & have a couple of questions if you don't mind.  My husband and I just moved from Connecticut to Arizona.  I gardened all summer long in Connecticut without much thought about critters like scorpions.  1.  Where do they go in the hot daylight hours?   2.  We were told to remove any bushes and trees that were up against or overhanging the roof.  I have since read an article that says if you remove these items it may cause the scorpions to enter the home.  Which is the correct thing to do?  3.  What protective measures do I need to implement when doing yard work?  4.  Any other advice is much appreciated!!!!!   Help!
