Sounds like a lot of water. You may be suffocating the roots. A mature
tree should be watered every 7-12 days, whatever it takes too let the
roots become nearly dry between watering. Each time, the water should
penetrate 2-3 feet after watering.when tested with a metal probe.
Yellow leaves may also be due to a nitrogen deficiency or, if the leaf
ribs are green but the rest of the leaf is yellow, it might need iron.
