Sounds like a lot of water, probably too frequently and not deep
enough.. If it is not a newly planted tree, water it until the water
has penetrated 2-3 feet. test using a metal rod . Don't water again
until the root area is nearly dry. This may take 7-21 days in the
summer, longer in the winter.
