According to most of the material I have seen about this topic,
vegetables will not take up the poisons from oleander roots. But I
would not plant any vegetables next to oleander because it could over
shadow the vegetable plants which need up 6 hours of sun. Also,
oleander roots are invasive and extensive and would rob your vegetables
of water and nutrients. As with any vegetables, especially root
vegetables, they should be washed thoroughly before use.
