[Arid_gardener] lime tree branch wilting

The symptoms suggest damage to the root system
and resulting water stress to individual banches;
this could be from a number of causes such as faulty
irrigation, construction damage, addition of soil above
the roots, soil compaction. It could also be caused by
a pest eating the roots (insect grubs, gophers, etc.)
or a disease organism.
Branches can also die from sunscald if the sun reaches
the bark.
Review these ideas and let us know if there have been
physical changes around the tree that would have caused
the damage.
