succumbed to temptation and bought a bunch of seeds....

Value Seeds - 99 cents maximum per packet, 99 cents shipping; per Dave's 
Garden, these are Thompson and Morgan seeds. Seed counts varied (both 
directions) in some cases from the count in their catalog but 
descriptions, even with a different name, were identical. Some seed 
counts were .very. low - under 10, but how many pumpkin vines or tomato 
plants - of one variety - does one person need anyway?

Chiogga (red and white rings) beet, sweet pepper mix(ed colors), single 
serve pumpkins, improved spaghetti squash, Supersweet 100 cherry 
tomatoes, Yellow Baby watermelon.

Watersuntogether - buy five or more for free shipping, packets mostly 99 
cents or $1.09, but some are $1.39. Seems to be Burpee (catalog).

Cantaloupe, snow peas, Carnival peppers (mixed colors, want to compare 
to above), Kaliedoscope four o'clocks, mixed portulaca, sunflowers.

Many others, in both cases, as well. Just hope they'll all like Zone 9a.

Also try Dollar Seed Store (Park) and "free trees and plants". The 
latter is nursery leftovers (not seeds), packaged by the disabled, for 
shipping only ($8 per unit as I recall).
