I have a 10 year old Ash in Plano TX.  It grows about rapidly but the roots have surfaced in my lawn. Will this be a problem as they approach my retaining wall surrounding my yard and eventually the foundation?
   
  I am also considering cutting it down and having the stump removed.  Will this totally get rid of the tree?
