Good Morning,

I have a couple of pigmy date palms, probably about 9 years old and approximately 5 feet high.  The tips on the fonds are brown and dried out.  The ones on the bottom are worse, being dried out for 6 inches or so on the ends.  It started this last year and progressed slowly.  I have tried different types of fertilizer.  I have gotten so much different advice, mostly that they are over watered.  Now I have just read the article in the paper from the Carfree Gardner and he states that palms need extra water to survive???  Do you have any advice for me?
