Except for the Desert Museum, you did not specify which Palo Verde tree.
Most types are deciduous or cold deciduous to some degree. You might want
to research this on your own with a simple Google or Yahoo search. e.g.
Desert Museum Palo Verde: Deciduous or semi-evergreen

Little Leaf Palo Verde (Foothills Palo Verde, Yellow Palo Verde): Deciduous
http://cals.arizona.edu/pima/gardening/aridplants/Cercidium_microphyllum.html
Probably the most common Palo Verde in the low desert. Most in the valley
still have all of their leaves but will drop leaves within the next few
months - Deciduousness probably depends somewhat on temperature.
Mexican Palo Verde (Sonoran Palo Verde): Deciduous or semi-deciduous
http://cals.arizona.edu/pima/gardening/aridplants/Parkinsonia_aculeata.html
This one grows like a weed in the Northwest valley
Sonoran Palo Verde (Palo Brea): Deciduous

Blue Palo Verde; Cold or drought deciduous.
