[Arid_gardener] Question from Home-Hort WWW page

I personally would find a responsible teenager and strike a verbal contract
with him or her. Outline in writing expressly what you want done, agree on a
price, pay in advance. Assure that any kids you hire are acting with
parental consent. I don't know what legal obligations could be involved.
That would not deter me but you might want to check that aspect to put your
mind at ease.

If you are in a mobile home park, conspire with a few neighbors to recruit a
crew from a scout group, a public school Ag club or whatever your
imagimation and creative ingenuity can concoct.

Or you could contract with a professional landscaper who, I predict, would
turn a herd of illegals loose on your property.

Contact herbicides and/or "Roundup" only kill actively growing plants.
Anything sprouting after you drive away are home free with full range
rights. Other herbicides have a somewhat permanent, toxic residence in the
root zone, I understand, and I would not use them.

A sharp hoe in the hands of a responsible wielder is the best defense
against a weed invasion.
