[Arid_gardener] Australian Willow, Wilga Tree & Septic Tanks

Hello,
 
I'm looking for any info on this tree.  From what I read it has deep,  
noninvasive roots.  Could this be a good choice to plant some distance away  from a 
septic tank?  I was also told putting a five foot PVC pipe in  by the tree, on 
the side facing the septic tank, would encourage the roots to  grow down away 
from the septic tank.  Is this so?  Also, what are  type of plants are safe 
to grow around a septic tank?
