I have used Nescofilm for years. It is widely employed in the Medical
proffession. The four inch is way too wide for our purposes but it is an
easy matter to split it into any width that fits the need but keep it out of
the direct sun or it will bond permantly to the backing. Overall, the 4" is
the best buy and most convenient to use with a pair of sharp sissors. For
many budding purposes, 3/4th" by 4", strips cut crosswise work just fine
making a good seal but the great advantage of parafilm tape is that it
breathes and a bud will grow right through the film. Remember that the film
bonds to itself only when stretched. I find that 1" is the easiest to use
and I have always cut my own. If you are wrapping a torso that had been
through a house fire and still respirating, I'd use 4".

Nescofilm is a generic for Parafilm made from petroleum waxes derived from
paraffin based petroleum crude.

Thanks for the information on how to get the stuff, Willard. I will pass it
along. I have the information in my files with info on where and how to get
rubbers and other grafting supplies. It used to be on our web page but has
likely lost track
