[Arid_gardener] Gardening question

The question of eradicating nutgrass came up here recently. There were some suggestions of herbicides, but these might not be compatible with growing flowers. I resorted to digging the nutgrass out, which requires digging down to as much as a foot so as to remove the root nodes. This is a bit of labour at first, and the nutgrass will try to regenerate from root nodes that were missed, but within a short period of time the nutgrass failed to reappear.
