A fungus appeared on bottom of my 20 year old palo verde tree.  About a month ago (prior to seeing fungi ball) the tree shifted and is leaning in the direction that the fungus appeared. The fungus ball is about the size of a softball is yellow on survace and brown inside. 

FYI 5 years agowe lost a large beuatiful carob tree to fungus.  

What can I do to save the palo verde and/pr save a nearby palo verde in the front yard.
