we had to remove three large cottonwood trees because they were damaging the foundation of our house,hated to do it, We have a medium to small area of grass in front of the house (facing west) We need a shade tree that we can plant near or in the grass that isn't going to cause the same problem that the cottonwoods did.  Please help.
