I have lived here since the mid 60s and have seen several of these freezes.
You can be certain that the freeze will happen again and frost tender trees
that are not adapted will freeze again.  But it happens so seldom that there
are really no experts that know for certain how or if to prune to restore
the tree.  Why not take up the offer of providing additional information at
