[Arid_gardener] Tababuia

Greetings,

We have a Tababuia that was hit hard by the frost. Actually we have 3 that were planted in the last 2 years. One of the three has not sprouted leaves but there is a sucker(nice green leaves) at the base of the tree.

Since the branches are still green we are thinking to remove the sucker in a last bid to encourage the established branches to leaf out. We would like some "authority" on tababuias to agree that this is the correct thing to do.

Thanks for any suggestions, advice.
Barbara
