I have an Acacia on the Western exposure (the front) of my home in the Scottsdale area and want to plant a shrub closer to the house that could be kept to a height of from 3 to 5 feet, however, it would be in shade in the AM and partial shade in the afternoon due to the Acacia.  We do have a drip system so the plant would have water.  Could you suggest something for these conditions.
