I have a parasite eating the leaves off my fruit trees, grapevines and rose bushes. It eats the entire leaf to the stem in the spring, stops in heat over 110 F. and goes back to work when the monsoon starts. It seems to start at the bottom of the tree and works it way up, also from the inside of the tree out. I can see a few tiny wisps of webs on some of the stems, I also have seen an occasional grasshopper around. I can provide pictures, if needed. I live in a rural area south of Maricopa 4 miles from agricultural fields. It often kills the roses and grapes, the mulberry trees have survived so far. Any ideas for a solution harmless to birds would be greatly appreciated!
