Scott,

Assuming your landscape is relatively new and wasn't landscaped by someone
with exotic tastes, you'll find common and latin names, pictures and
descriptions of common AZ landscape plants on a CD you can get for free
(your tax $) from the Gilbert Water Conservation Office. I can't remember
the exact name but if you ask for the Arizona Landscape CD they will know
what you mean.

It has a search feature where you narrow the parameters (ex. Evergreen, 6 ft
tall shrub, yellow flowers) and it will provide some options. That might
help you find the name for your plants.

I used mine to ID most of the plants in my yard. It has descriptions, care
tips, etc.

Also there is a section called "My Plants" where you can store profiles on
up to 20 plants. That's how I keep "inventory" for my yard.

Good Luck
