    Buying earthworms locally for gardens and composting is difficult at
best.  The last person who was farming (vermiculture) red wrigglers in the
Phoenix area left Arizona years ago, so I have been told.  And the bait and
tackle shop here in Tempe that I bought worms from closed up a few years
ago.

    The best worm supplier for the southwest is Topline Worms:

If it wriggles, they have it.  As long as the temperatures stay above the
freezing point, you can have them shipped safely by UPS and it takes just a
few days.
