[Arid_gardener] algerian ivy?

I had Algerian Ivy on the north side of the garage a few years back and it 
was so aggressive so  I finally took it out.  But it was shaded until late 
afternoon in the summer when the sun was north of due west and the sun is 
still pretty fierce in the early evening so it may be a problem if it isn't 
in the shade at that time.   It climbed up to 11 feet at the gable end so I 
believe it would be too aggressive for a 6 foot fence.
