While my snow pea (singular) is growing, it's extremely slow - maybe
half an inch in a week. I figured that once it started, it would shoot up.

I just came in from checking the bed. I found 2 1/2 beets and .four.
sets of leaves on a ranunculus.

The ranunculus could be from one or two bulbs - I don't remember any
bulb being that large (about an inch between the furthest leaves) but I
thought I had planted them a little further apart than that. However, it
started to rain as I was finishing, so I might have nudged one over a
bit as I was covering them.

One beet has two sets of leaves just a fraction of an inch apart, so I
assume that they're sprouting from the same seed case and that I'll have
to pull one. <sigh>

However, I'm now more hopeful that some of the others will grow. As you
may recall, I planted two snow peas, 32 beets, and slightly over 100
ranunculus bulbs on January fifth, so I've been pretty discouraged.

Guess it's finally time to plant a few more snow pea and beet seeds.

My Egyptian walking onions seem to be putting out new growth but the
multiplying onion....

I think it's time to give up on most of what I planted in October and
plant something else. I'm really not surprised - all those seeds and
bulbs were .so. old I felt they had little chance of growing but keeping
them longer wouldn't help. So be it.
