Duane, I would phone the city crash collection department at the phone number from your monthly city-cash-collection bill and seek their advice on disposing of it. Congratulations. I too have a few pricklys with which I have threatened to do the same thing but usually lose my nerve as soon as I get my hands on an ax. I have a healthy distaste for anything with thorns, I have, however, a majestic saguaro with which I have a hearty lovr/hate that I wouldn't part with.
In the past, I have disposed of undesirable vegetation by choping it up into reasonably short pieces and disposing of it over a period of time in the dumpster in smaller increments to keep from overwhelming neighbors and the truck.
But, if the mass is large, I would check with the city first. They have a bulk pickup that could get everything out in one trip if handled properly. That service is an integral part of your tax structure, I believe.
I have used it on several occasions and the City is very accommodating. >From past experience, without paying a healthy price, I doubt you could run or talk fast enough to con a private citizen into getting that kind of plant debris off your hands.
Any other Master Gardeners wish to add to or modify the comments above, that I and others too may learn.
