Apricot trees  should be pruned just before bud break - from January through
mid February in the Valley.  For some guidelines, refer to

Also search Google:  pruning apricot trees.  Lots of relevant hits.

Garden clubs, nurseries and extension agents often present live pruning
demonstrations in January.  Watch the newspapers in January for details.
